We are seeking a skilled Scenic Carpenter to bring creative set designs to life. In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, and install scenery and staging elements for a wide variety of clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, excels at reading technical drawings, and maintains high standards for safety and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Construct, build, and repair scenic elements using a variety of materials and hardware based on designer blueprints and drafting plans. Safely operate fixed and portable power tools, hand tools, and shop machinery. Assist with load-ins, set installation, and load-outs (strike) according to production deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with the Technical Director, scenic artists, and Logistics crew to meet visual, structural and functional requirements. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in scenic carpentry, theatrical construction, or custom woodworking. Proven ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and scale models. Proficiency with standard carpentry equipment (table saw, miter saw, pneumatic fasteners, routers). Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, work on your feet, and navigate ladders or scaffolding safely. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to structural safety. #J-18808-Ljbffr Shop Cat LLC
