Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Primary Care / Urgent Care (Clinic)
Location: Norwich, CT 06360 (On-site)
Pay:  $74.87/hr (W2)
Type: Contract / Temporary (approx. 26 weeks ) — 40 hrs/week
Schedule: Must be able to work 2–3 days/week, 8:30 AM–7:30 PM (additional hours may be available).  Holiday rotation may be required.  No every-other-weekend requirement.

About the Role

We’re hiring an experienced  Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)with  primary care or urgent care experience to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinic setting. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated clinical care team to help improve outcomes for an assigned patient panel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate  patient assessments ,  diagnosis ,  treatment , and  care planning
• Manage acute and chronic conditions; provide  health counseling and patient education
• Document care and coordinate with the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes
• Support clinic operations as needed (opening/closing, inventory, patient follow-up, insurance verification/payment collection, maintaining a clean/organized environment)

Required Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license (Connecticut)in good standing
• Current BLS certification ( AHA or Red Cross )
• Minimum 1 year of recent  Primary Care experience as an NP (family medicine, primary care practice, or urgent care)
• Comfortable working  on-site in a  patient-facing role
• High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)

Note: Clinic roles are considered  safety-sensitive .

Training

Training is typically 4 ten-hour shifts (or 5 eight-hour shifts ) for 4 weeks (flexible).
