Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students in Statesville, NC for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers a full-time schedule from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027 (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm, 37.5 hours per week). As a specialist dedicated to student communication needs, you’ll work exclusively onsite within a collaborative school environment.

Desired qualifications:

• Valid and active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Experience supporting school-aged children, particularly elementary and middle school populations
• Familiarity with school-based assessment and intervention practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and communication with students, families, and staff
• Ability to organize and manage a school caseload efficiently
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and advocating for inclusive education

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver speech-language therapy to assigned students
• Maintain timely session documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines
• Collaborate with educational teams to support student success and generalize skills across settings
• Engage with families and caregivers, providing updates on progress and strategies for continued growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
