Columbia Memorial Hospital, located in the upper Hudson Valley region of Upstate New York, 2 hours north of NY City and 45 minutes south of Albany, NY. It is a 192-bed facility with 42 outpatient Care Centers whose philosophy is "Patients First," emphasizing safety and quality in patient care. We offer numerous opportunities for our Medical Staff to work in a progressive healthcare system whose range of services includes a substantial primary care network, multiple subspecialties, and all ancillary services in multiple locations to assist in the treatment of your patients.


Job Description:


Summary/Objective: We are looking for two full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible internal medicine or family practice physicians to join our team of Hospitalists that serves the in-patient needs of our community. Admissions come from our 16 primary care and specialty care centers that constitute Columbia Memorial Health, serving Columbia and Greene counties. We have state-of-the-art lab, and medical imaging services as well as a full spectrum of specialty consultants to assist you in providing care. We have active Clinical Documentation Improvement and Case Management teams to assist you in maximizing coding and in moving patients through the healthcare system in a safe and expedited manner. Our Med-Surg census averages about 70 patients per day. We are an affiliate of Albany Medical Center which we use for difficult cases requiring a higher level of care.

Other Staff (MDs, NP/PAs, MAs): 9 Hospitalists


Patients Per Day: 15 - 18


Hours: One week on, one week off (alternating)


Reason for Recruitment : Filling a position currently covered by a locum physician

Compensation will range between $275,000 - $350,000 based on experience. Additional compensation will be paid through a productivity-based incentive program.
