Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing (min. 6 months) coverage opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This is an on-site emergency medicine position with a manageable patient volume and a 12-bed Emergency Department.

Position Highlights

• Duration: Ongoing- At least 6 months
• Schedule: 6:00 AM6:00 PM or 6:00 PM6:00 AM
• No call
• 12-bed Emergency Department
• Census: Fewer than 30 patients per day
• Admissions: Fewer than 10 per day
• On-site coverage
• Full scope of Emergency Medicine procedures

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients.
• Manage acute and emergent medical conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures, including:
• Procedural sedation
• Endotracheal intubation
• Central line placement
• Other standard ED procedures within scope of practice
• Stabilize and disposition patients appropriately.
• Coordinate consultations, admissions, transfers, and follow-up care.
• Provide timely and accurate medical documentation.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Must have successfully completed an Emergency Medicine residency
• ABEM certification or eligibility required
• Current Tennessee medical license
