Physical Therapist

This position implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. The physical therapist evaluates and treats patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs. They utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files. The therapist guides and monitors patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up. Supervision of PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care is required. The physical therapist communicates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. They are responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations. The therapist ensures patient comfort and addresses any questions as needed. Close collaboration with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up is essential. The position requires proficiency in computer skills necessary to complete job requirements. Independent decision-making regarding patient care is expected. Participation in the business marketing and referral processes may be necessary. The physical therapist must comply with HIPAA policies and procedures. Physical demands include walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout working hours. The position involves lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds, pushing wheelchairs, and supporting patient safety. No travel is expected for this position. Active participation in company privacy training is encouraged.
