Toscana Little Italy in Jacksonville, FL is looking that candidate that loves what they do, cares about the customer experience and takes pride in preparing food to the highest quality to the specification of the head chef.  To do this, the candidate must possess organization skills and timely production on stations, have proficient knife skills, able to follow standardized recipes and develop techniques, maintain the highest of sanitation skills at all times. We are located on 4440 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Fl 32207. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Knife skills
• high sanitation skills
• Knowledge of internal food temperatures and proper storage of food
• Team player
• Ability to stock and prep stations for service
• Ability to follow standardized recipes/techniques/customer requests
• Assist on catering and private events as needed.
• Possess or willing to obtain Fl food handlers license.
• Set up and stock stations
• Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation.
• Prepare menu items per specifications of the chef
• Follow high standard of sanitation skills
• Stock inventory
• Familiarize and/or learn all stations of the line and ability to any work stations as needed
• Assist with prep for all stations, if needed, before/ during service and maintain food product levels at assigned work stations during and after service.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience minimum 3 years or associates degree in culinary
• Able to meet all scheduling commitments
• Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
• Strong attention to detail
• Food handler/ managers license.
