This position is responsible for preparing and serving food, maintaining clean food service areas and equipment, assisting customers, and helping train and supervise student staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food according to established recipes and guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas, serving equipment, and facilities
- Provide excellent customer service while serving patrons
- Assist with food stocking and inventory management
- Train and supervise student staff as assigned
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Ensure food quality and presentation standards are met
- Support daily kitchen operations and team objectives
- Minimum of 9 months previous cooking experience required
- ServSafe Certification required or ability to obtain certification
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to train and supervise others effectively
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand and move throughout the entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and carrying items
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
