Instructional Aide Job ID: 267 Position Type: Support Staff/Instructional Aide Position Purpose To assist the teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment in order that students may learn effectively. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher. Essential Job Functions Ability to work well with children Basic knowledge of general office and audiovisual equipment Basic typing/keyboarding skills Good organizational and communication skills Computer knowledge/background desired Additional Duties Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration, as needed Perform any other related duties as assigned Note: The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities. It is not meant to be all inclusive of every task or responsibility. Travel Requirements Travel between schools, or between schools and central offices, may be required for certain positions.
