Job Summary The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for financial statement analysis, including the use of the Baker Hill NextGen commercial loan system to spread, analyze and format corporate tax returns and financial statements as well as individual tax returns and personal financial statements for use in loan presentations for loan officers, loan committee and the Board of Directors. Provides knowledgeable and clear analysis, including commentary on the overall creditworthiness of companies and individuals, trend analysis and company and industry outlook. Ensures system compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and applicable lending regulations, while also providing essential administrative support. Commercial Credit Analyst Job Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Accounting classes and further education preferred. Must have a minimum of three (3) years accounting or commercial analyst experience in credit union or banking industry and working knowledge of the commercial loan process and general credit union/banking product knowledge. Must have reliable transportation. Essential Elements of the Commercial Credit Analyst Prepare commercial loan write-ups and assist Commercial Loan Officers on loan presentations for Loan Committee and appropriate approval authorities. Assist with department requirements, including ongoing required reporting and monitoring of post-closing tracking items to support the Commercial Loan Officers. Process loan documentation for various types of members, including booking loans, paid‑off loan release tracking and post‑closing on loans. Maintain a positive and professional image of self and the Credit Union. Provide accurate, timely, and courteous service to our members by providing efficient assistance in answering questions and providing professional services. Ability to travel to attend loan closings and meet with loan members and prospects as required. Serve as back‑up for the Commercial Lending Coordinator. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all security measures and policies and procedures of the Credit Union. Job Skills and Work Relations The Commercial Credit Analyst must demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, math skills, written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must possess good attention to detail, good negotiating skills and display tact and professionalism in working closely with co‑workers, other departments and members.
