Aircraft Assembly Technicians

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Assembly Technicians in Melbourne, Florida . In this role, you will perform a wide range of assembly and repair tasks on electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and structures. From working hands-on with jigs and blueprints to inspecting finished work for FAA compliance, you’ll be part of a team that keeps production precise, efficient, and airworthy. Job Responsibilities Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables Work from diagrams, drawings, and layouts using hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies Perform quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with quality specifications Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies as needed Follow approved assembly procedures for components or aircraft structures in accordance with FAA-approved documentation, OEM technical data, and work package instructions Align subassemblies using jigs or fixtures and measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points Inspect completed work for rework needs and ensure all repairs meet prescribed standards and tolerances Perform serviceability tests utilizing technical manual–specified equipment Complete all FAA and repair station documentation accurately Submit completed work to Quality Assurance for final or in-progress inspection and certification of airworthiness Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education: High School Diploma or GED required A&P and mechanical/electrical experience a plus Experience: Advanced technician-level role requiring 2-4 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures Demonstrated ability to use all technical data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs #J-18808-Ljbffr
