Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Santa Cruz, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation / Skilled Nursing Facility
Schedule & Shift: Flexible Day Shift Schedule (Weekend coverage preferred but flexible)
Patient Population: Primarily adults and geriatric patients (60+)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced therapists and motivated new graduates looking to grow within a supportive interdisciplinary environment focused on quality patient care and teamwork.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Patient Evaluation & Treatment

• Review physician orders and therapy referrals
• Provide therapeutic interventions including:
  
  • Therapeutic exercises
  • Gait training
  • Transfer training
  • Balance and coordination activities
  • Ultrasound, infrared, massage, and other modalities

Care Planning & Collaboration

• Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings
• Assist with patient assessments and discharge planning

Requirements:
Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Licensure

• Active and unrestricted California Physical Therapist (PT) license required

Experience

• Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or inpatient settings preferred
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experience working with geriatric rehabilitation populations is highly preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist patients throughout the workday
• Ability to assist with transfers and patient mobility
• Ability to work with medically complex and elderly patients
