We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity with an established hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana .

Opportunity Highlights:

Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
Start Date: October 15, 2026
Assignment: Ongoing locum tenens coverage
Schedule: Per diem / intermittent coverage
Patient Volume: Approximately 8 12 patients per shift
PICU: 8-bed Pediatric Critical Care Unit
Facility: Level II Pediatric and Trauma Facility
Credentialing: Approximately days
License Requirement: Active Indiana medical license required
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible
Required Certifications: BLS and PALS

Clinical Responsibilities & Skills:

The ideal physician will be comfortable managing a broad range of pediatric critical care cases and procedures, including:

Invasive and non-invasive ventilation management
Acute and chronic respiratory care, including BiPAP/CPAP and nitric oxide
Intubation and airway management
Central and arterial line placement
Chest tube placement and management
ECMO experience
Bronchoscopy and BAL procedures
Management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
ICP evaluation and management
Lumbar punctures and diagnostic/therapeutic taps
Paracentesis and thoracentesis
EKG and X-ray interpretation
Additional advanced pediatric critical care procedures as needed

Location: Fort Wayne offers convenient access through Fort Wayne International Airport and provides an excellent Midwest location for physicians seeking flexible locum coverage.
