Medical Billing Specialist

Payment PostingRevenue Cycle Management is looking for a full-time Payment Posting individual to join the team! The Payment Posting incumbent is responsible for overseeing operations in connection with accounts receivable and duties associated with full cycle processing of accounts recovery, including collections, posting payments, and reconciling payment collections with patients billing statements.Essential functions include answering telephones and dealing with inquiries, responding and complying to requests for information including sending faxes and e-mails, reconciling and coordinating with the billing team for all incoming payments according to the patients explanation of benefits (EOB) and contractual payments and adjustments, following up with pending/outstanding incoming payments, reviewing incoming mail, capturing information and forwarding to posting team, preparing payment for deposit, collecting and organizing medical records payments, updating information and scanning into database, ensuring completeness and accuracy of tasks and projects, reporting statistics as required, and performing other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.Knowledge of interpretation of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and understanding contractual payments and adjustments, knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology, knowledge of computer and relevant software applications, strong attention to detail, ability to adapt with flexibility, ability to work independently, exceptional customer service and phone etiquette, and energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills are required.Education and experience: High School Diploma or GED, one (1) year experience working with EOB's.Benefits include three medical plans, two dental plans, two vision plans, employee assistant program, short- and long-term disability insurance, accidental death & dismemberment plan, 401(k) with a 2-year vesting, PTO + holidays.Premier Medical Resources is a healthcare management company headquartered in Northwest Houston, Texas.
