Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified registered nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery (L&D) team. This role is ideal for first-time travelers with experience in high-risk labor and delivery settings. The RN will float between units as needed.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Requirements: Yes, some weekend shifts required
• On-call Requirements: No
• Block Schedules: Not required

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk labor and delivery patients.
• Assist with acute maternal emergencies, high-risk deliveries, and the management of laboring patients.
• Perform interventions for antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiple gestations.
• Ensure patient safety and effective management of labor induction and augmentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.

Patient Ratios

• Labor: 1:2
• Antepartum: 1:3

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in acute care and specifically in labor and delivery.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP

Skills Required

• Administration of blood products and pain management therapies.
• Experience with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk patient care.
• Proficient in the use of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and various obstetric-related procedures.
• Ability to handle maternal and neonatal emergencies effectively.

Special Requirements
