Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 2 NICU setting. Ensure the health and safety of newborns, including performing baby catch procedures during C-sections and managing patient care within the unit.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in the Level 2 NICU.
• Perform baby catch procedures during C-section cases to ensure neonatal safety.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC electronic health record system.
• Float to related units such as Post Partum when required, providing consistent patient support.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding background checks, charting, and module completion.
• Maintain compliance with travel and licensing requirements, including NY state licensure and travel policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY RN license in hand prior to submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent NICU nursing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC charting system.
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Capable of floating to postpartum and managing baby catch in OR.
• Compliant with Tier 2 travel policies and RTO limitations.
