TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Huntersville, North Carolina, 28078!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: NC or Compact license pending accepted Certifications: BCLS, NIH Must-Have: - IV Start - Telemetry - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancellation. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. The target patient ratios are 1:5/6. There is a floating requirement to other Med/Surg units as needed. Every other weekend is required. Travelers will be required to take COVID patients if necessary. All team members, except for pregnant individuals, are not exempt from taking COVID patients. The unit diagnoses are variable and include cardiac and neurology services. Specialties include stroke certification, hip and knee certification, colorectal cancer certification, ERAS, and general surgical patients. Occasional GYN surgeries, hospice, cardiac services, pre and post catheterization, tele neurology, and oncology cases will be encountered. Unit systems include electronic medication management and patient management systems. Orientation consists of two 12-hour shifts. Weekly classes must be attended by travelers in their first week. Scrubs should be any combination of navy and white. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting. Pre-approved time off is limited to seven days, with restrictions on holidays. Mandatory weekend coverage requires working two of three major holidays. No additional RTO can be requested after signing. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as per job description. Travel pairs are allowed but must be on different units and disclosed. References can be pending at submission. Pre-start modules must be completed within the first 24 hours. Testing requirements must be fulfilled within 48 hours. Online modules are conducted using compatible web browsers.
