Summary/ObjectiveIn keeping with our organization’s goals, the primary purpose of the Registered Nurse is to monitor patients, develop patient care plans, implement treatments, and document care as rendered. The RN is responsible for effective management of care provided to nursing unit as assigned, supervising the work of licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants, and maintaining the delivery of quality care to all residents.ManagementProvide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgmentPlan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident’s plan of care in accordance with current physician’s orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilitiesHave knowledge of and utilize of the facility’s written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service departmentUtilize established methods for coordination and communication of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of careParticipate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as may be directedConduct themselves in a professional manner in compliance with facility policiesAgree not to disclose assigned user ID code and password for accessing resident/facility information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the AdministratorAgree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the AdministratorReport any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility’s information system.Participate in developing, evaluating, revising, and implementing a plan of care for each resident to achieve and maintain the highest practicable level of wellbeing possibleProvide education to residents/families/caregivers when the need arises, or as directed by Administration and/or physicianProvides prompt emergency support measures, including CPR, in accordance with physician orders, resident/family wishes, advance directives, and facility policies and procedures.Provide care in a professional/courteous manner by ensuring the resident is approached in a kind, gentle and friendly mannerProvide care in a manner that respect for the resident's dignity and privacy is consistently upheldRequired Education and ExperienceMust possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the StateAn Associate Degree in Nursing is required2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care experience preferredSix (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferredStrong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferredComputer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).Required SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitudeAbility to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyDisplay attention to detailInteract with residents, families, and the community in a professional mannerAbility to engage in active listening (giving full attention to those speaking), critical thinking (using logic and reasoning to identify strengths/weaknesses of alternative solutions), and active learning (understanding implications of new information during problem-solving situations)Exceptional judgment and active foresightSelf-motivated and self-directed #J-18808-Ljbffr LEV AT TOWN PARK
