Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand patients' histories, challenges, and treatment goals, followed by the development of tailored therapeutic plans. \n
- Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to assist individuals, couples, and families in overcoming their mental health challenges. \n
- Facilitate psychoeducational sessions and support groups, promoting wellness and resilience among participants and providing a constructive community atmosphere. \n
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, ensuring an integrated approach to patient care that addresses all aspects of mental health. \n
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed, demonstrating prompt and skillful handling of emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being. \n
- Educate patients about their mental health conditions and available treatment options, empowering them with knowledge and resources through our organization. \n
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, employing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient record-keeping. \n
- Engage actively in case consultations and professional development activities to stay informed of the latest advancements in mental health treatment. \n
As a Mental Health Therapist at Brave Recovery Counseling Services, you will work with a varied patient base, including individuals struggling with acute mental health disorders, long-term chronic conditions, sensitive family issues, and those seeking therapy for general life stressors. Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State. \n
- Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and the formulation of evidence-based treatment plans. \n
- Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy to clients from diverse backgrounds, showcasing adaptability in therapeutic styles. \n
