Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Outpatient Comprehensive Rehab Center position in Peoria, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and active Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week), 12-hour shifts
• Located in a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Patient population includes individuals with physical disabilities and chronic illness requiring rehabilitation nursing care
• Floating may be required to other facilities within the health system
• Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
• Weekend night shifts required on a rotation basis

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Skills required include documentation, patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, chronic illness care, and physical disability care

Additional Information

• Conducts initial assessments upon patient admission and develops individualized rehab plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Coordinates nursing care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support achievement of patient goals
• Provides ongoing patient and family education on disease processes, self-care techniques, and rehabilitation strategies
• Participates in rehab rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Reinforces therapy teachings and provides resource materials to address patients' evolving needs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent employees may be subject to return restrictions
