Designation: Senior Firmware Engineer

Location: Raleigh/Durham/Morrisville/Cary, NC (Onsite/Hybrid)

Role Summary: Looking for a senior firmware engineer to support the migration of multiple enterprise platforms from Broadcom Atlas 2 to Atlas 3 PCIe switch technology. This initiative requires firmware adaptation, platform integration, validation, and sustainment support to ensure continuity of existing products while enabling next-generation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support migration from Atlas 2 to Atlas 3 PCIe switch architecture across multiple platforms.
• Develop and validate switch firmware changes required for feature parity and platform compatibility.
• Work with hardware, firmware, and architecture teams to support board bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with PCIe switch configuration, DMA routing, GPU-to-GPU communication, and interoperability testing.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve firmware and platform issues during qualification and deployment.
• Support sustainment of Atlas 2-based platforms while Atlas 3 migration activities are underway.
• Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of firmware or embedded systems development experience.
• Strong C/C++ and Embedded Linux expertise.
• Experience with PCIe architecture, PCIe switches, and server platform firmware.
• Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration and low-level debugging.
• Familiarity with data center, storage, AI, or HPC platforms.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Broadcom PCIe switch technologies (Atlas/PEX family).
• Knowledge of UEFI, BMC/XClarity, Redfish, CXL, GPUs, and accelerator-based systems.
• Experience working with OEM server platforms and platform validation teams.
