The Director of Early Learning will be responsible for overseeing the development, organization, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of its twelve (12) month Early Childhood and Preschool instructional programs in accordance with Abbott decision (N.J.A.C. 6A:24-1.1 et seq.) all state and federal laws, regulations and NCC's established policies and procedures to ensure that each student will meet or exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards.

Additional responsibilities include identifying methods for addressing programming needs; promoting high standards and expectations for students and staff; and increasing revenue through student enrollment while managing all financial aspects by applying proper cost controls. The position will have direct supervisory responsibility over the Site Manager of Harmony House Early Learning Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision, leadership and strategic direction for Early Learning Centers including: recruitment, retention, training, and staff development/evaluation ; instructional program, including, workshops, conferences, visitations, demonstration lessons and sessions in which the staff shares successful practices and strategies.

• Oversee school operations including implementing and directing program and administrative support areas, quality assurance, managing budgets, licensing and staff, ensuring high quality service.
• Ensure that curriculums are followed appropriately and that new programs, policies and procedures are adapted successfully.
• Network within the community to recruit new families, follow up with prospects and manage the child enrollment process
• Maintain enrollment goals and remain within budgetary targets
• Provide staff with regular and specific feedback through classroom observations, one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
• Seeking out professional development opportunities and remaining current on new practices in the childcare and education industry

Ensure compliance with all funding source mandates, applicable laws and regulations.

• Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or
• Master's Degree supplemented by 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education
• Standard Teachers Certification
• 3 to 5 years of teaching experience
• Prior managerial experience with at least five (5) years of work experience in a licensed child care
• facility, kindergarten or early childhood program; and a proven track record of working with Abbott programs and effective budgeting
