Lead Custodian

Permanent position available at Centinela Valley Union High School District. The Lead Custodian position provides custodial services at assigned sites to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors. The Lead Custodian performs a variety of specialized cleaning tasks, oversees the preparation of facilities for instructional activities and campus events; supports and coordinates the work of assigned custodial staff, and ensures all duties are completed safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Schedule 1: Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. (8 hours per day)

Schedule 2: Friday-Monday, 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm. (10 hours per day)

Compensation: Range 125; Schedule M; Step 1: $4,490.24 - Step 5: $5,457.93 (Monthly)

This is a promotional and open recruitment to establish an eligibility list and fill vacancies. The eligibility list will be used to fill vacancies that may occur during the life of the eligibility list. Per agreement with our classified bargaining unit laid-off CVUHSD classified employees have a preference for reemployment to any vacant position for which they are qualified and apply. In a promotional and open recruitment, the promotional list shall take precedence. If the promotional list contains fewer than three eligible and willing ranks, certification of additional ranks shall be made from the open list.

The examination process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview. Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.

Minimum qualifications: Two years of custodial experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Possession of a valid California driver's license.
