Location: Dallas, TX 75246 (Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 13-Week Contract (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $18–$24/hour (W2)
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced specialty practice. The ideal candidate will assist physicians with patient care, perform clinical procedures, maintain accurate documentation in Epic, and deliver exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for physician examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as directed by the provider.
- Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, and other routine clinical tests.
- Assist with minor procedures, dressing changes, and suture or staple removal.
- Document patient information accurately in Epic EMR .
- Schedule appointments, answer patient calls, and support daily clinic operations.
- Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and infection control standards.
- Assist with workflow coordination, team huddles, and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Current AHA BLS Certification .
- Minimum 2 years of recent Certified Medical Assistant experience .
- Epic EMR experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, injections, phlebotomy, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a specialty or surgical clinic .
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
