Job Overview The Department of Internal Medicine is searching for a Division Director for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. The Director reports directly to the Department Chair and will lead the division in alignment with our clinical care, research, and education missions. The role includes support for residency and medical student training, mentoring, and administrative oversight. Essential Functions Serve as senior faculty and mentor junior faculty, research associates, and graduate students. Develop a roadmap to expand clinical and basic science research. Plan optimal utilization of Advanced Practice Providers. Participate in strategic development conversations. Set clinical productivity targets and provide fiscal oversight of the division. Establish annual academic, clinical, and research goals. Participate in the Department of Internal Medicine Chair’s Council of Champions. Recruit and mentor faculty and staff, and conduct annual faculty reviews. Meet with departmental and administrative leaders. Address concerns from staff, patients, providers, and others. Collaborate with other departments to enhance multidisciplinary approaches and initiatives. Support new initiatives that may extend beyond the local campus. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements MD, DO, MD/PhD, or a commensurate degree. Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology. At least 10 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership and management experience at a medical facility. Experience with communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision‑making. Additional Qualifications Considered MBA and/or strong business acumen. Previous success in building and leading a large, interdisciplinary team. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Office environment. No specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
