Job Description This role utilizes analytical skills to create a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. National General is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join our Claims team supporting the South San Diego territory. This is a remote, territory-based role that handles claims both virtually and in the field throughout the South San Diego area, including Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, La Mesa, Spring Valley, Lemon Grove, National City, Imperial Beach, and surrounding areas. estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates while working closely with repair facilities and customers. Key Responsibilities Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties.
