The Labor and Delivery RN position in Encinitas, CA at the facility offers you the chance to support mothers and newborns in a Baby-Friendly birthing pavilion with a Level II neonatal intensive care unit. You will provide care for labor, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and positive outcomes. Required qualifications include a current California RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications are required. At least 1 year of recent experience in labor and delivery and postpartum care in an acute care hospital is recommended. Recommended skills include strong assessment abilities, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to demonstrate positive behaviors in a fast-paced environment.
