Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Possession of an active PEL (Professional Educator License) is required
- LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) endorsement is mandatory
- Experience or strong interest in working with K-12 students in a special education capacity
- Flexibility to provide in-person or virtual instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to enhance accessibility and student success
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and goals
- Foster a positive classroom environment promoting inclusion and respect
- Collaborate with general education staff and other specialists to support shared student goals
