Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience required License: State/Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong orthopedic experience required Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The traveler must start on the specified date and have the ability to float based on facility needs. Weekend work is required every other week. All requested time off must be included in the initial submission. The traveler will be responsible for covering any additional shifts as needed. Nurses in this role must independently measure telemetry strips and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients. Recent experience in the operating room is essential. All applicants must have a strong background in orthopedic procedures. Candidates who do not have the required state license but have applied for it may still be considered. Those who require medical or religious exemptions for vaccinations must provide appropriate documentation. The assessment for proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation is required for certain departments. Nurses who do not pass the assessment will receive supplemental training.
