Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – West Virginia Start Date: September 2026 Location: West Virginia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 19:00-07:00, weekdays with every other weekend, holiday coverage required, no call or float Highlights: 13-week travel contract in a 9-bed Emergency Department with a daily census of approximately 40 patients Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts providing manageable workload Full-service emergency care for all age groups from neonates through geriatrics EMR system: Cerner Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Radiology Blocked schedule requests may be considered if submitted at time of application Requirements: Active West Virginia RN license (or ability to obtain) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required; 5 years preferred Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted) Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, current WV RN license Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP, TNCC Essential skills: IV start, triage, emergency medications, management of dysrhythmias Experience with trauma care, ventilated patients, blood product administration, and procedural sedation Proficiency with central line management, arterial lines, chest tubes, and emergency procedures Must reside outside 75-mile radius from location Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers experienced Emergency Department nurses the opportunity to provide comprehensive emergency care across all age groups in a well-supported environment.
