As a daycare teacher, you will be required to prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. You should also be an excellent role model for our students. To be successful as a daycare teacher, you should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression. Top candidates will possess a thorough understanding of the contextual factors that shape early childhood development. Toddler Teacher Responsibilities Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development. Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement. Tending to students' basic needs by feeding and dressing them. Modeling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty. Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times. Liaising with families to gain insight into students' home lives. Tracking and informing parents of students' progress. Attending parent and staff meetings. Toddler Teacher Requirements 21 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent. 5 years experience working in licensed daycare facility or: (1) Associate's (AA or AS) degree in early childhood education; or (2) Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; or (3) High school diploma or equivalent (GED); nine college credits in early childhood education or child development; two years’ experience caring for children, and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; or (4) High school diploma or equivalent (GED); and a study plan that is acceptable to the Department leading to nine credits in early childhood education or childhood development within two years; and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years, if currently employed in a permitted child care program. Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting. Physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds. Warm, approachable disposition. Excellent problem-solving skills. A passion for early childhood development. Hours are Monday thru Friday 9am to 3pm Salary range: 2400 monthly - 3250 monthly depending on qualifications and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
