Investor Services Representative

Job Title

Group Representation and Communication

1. Act as the central point/primary conduit of communication between the investor services group and the company when necessary.

2. Escalate clients or operations issues to your manager for discussion and rapid resolution.

3. Participate in client or investor meetings as requested.

Job Responsibilities

1. Have knowledge and understanding of client fund structures, client service requirements and deadlines, relevant provisions of subscription documents and fund offering as they pertain to investor services, and applicable laws and regulations with particular emphasis on AML procedures.

2. Receive, review and process investor subscription and redemption requests.

3. Communicate timely and effectively with fund accounting, investors and fund managers on investor matters including resolution of issues with investor documents.

4. Perform initial and ongoing monitoring of investors in accordance with AML/ATF regulations and SCFS AML/ATF policies.

5. Update investor information in the investor accounting system.

6. Record capital activity in the investor accounting system.

7. Deliver account statements and other investor communications.

8. Respond to investor requests for statements and other information.

9. Review the work of others on the investor services team.

10. Assist in revising investor services policies and procedures as necessary to comply with changes in fund documents or regulation.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate has several years of experience in third party administration and/or security operations, investor services for pooled investment vehicles, and with investor information and accounting systems. Is comfortable and proficient in verbal and written communications with individual investors, institutional investors and fund managers. Has experience reading and understanding legal documents such as documents provided for AML identify verification (such as foundation charters, trust documents, LLC agreements), fund offering documents and subscription agreements, client and company policies, and regulatory guidance. Has experience in developing and implementing internal control procedures. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and organized, and possess excellent interpersonal and strong writing skills. As important, candidates must have experience developing and maintaining positive relationships with coworkers, clients, and business partners. The ability to quickly learn and understand complicated concepts is a necessity. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is essential. Experience with an investor accounting system is vastly preferred.

Education Requirements

Four year college degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
