Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position operates on a 4x10-hour day shift, typically from 06:45 to 15:15.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient safety and care.
• Float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs and may be required to assist in like units as necessary.
• Participate in the call rotation for weekday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in an operating room setting.
• Current South Carolina license or compact license is required prior to start.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Miscellaneous Information

• Weekends: Typically required to work every fourth weekend with weekday coverage.
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application for approval based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours: The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks.

Facility Information

This role is within an acute care hospital with a total of 119 staffed beds. Surgical scrubs will be provided, and charting will be performed using the Epic system. Parking is available free of charge in unrestricted spaces.

Emergency Response Participation

During hurricane season, all personnel may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is advised not to confirm new or extended assignments during this period, which runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
