Franchisees are independent business owners who set own terms of employment, including wage and benefit programs, which can vary between franchisees.The Store Manager is responsible for all staffing, sales, and operations in a Scooter's Coffee location. They must be friendly, energetic, and kind to employees and customers alike. They must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving skills, be flexible and adaptive, and be organized. The Store Manager must follow, exemplify, and enforce standards. This role builds and leads a friendly, service-oriented barista team, sets a high-energy work pace, drives sales, increases profitability, and demonstrates an engaged management style. The Store Manager must exemplify the Scooter's Coffee core values of integrity, love, humility, and courage.Compensation:The Store Manager position is a full-time salaried position. You are expected to work at least 40-45 hours per week (There may be weeks where hours exceed 45, depending on business and staffing needs. In addition to salary, Store Manager's will be offered a bonus structure based on reaching goals set by the Owner's and/or District Manager as applicable. (Salary is based on experience)Benefits:Paid time offCell Phone Stipend once a monthMonthly Performance BonusesOne FREE specialty drink on-shiftAll you can drink FREE brewed coffee on-shiftEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure consistent and quality customer experience through proper staffing, execution of brand beverage recipes and techniques, and fostering the Scooter's "Amazing" customer service experienceMaintain store appearance, cleanliness inside and out, visual merchandising standards, food safety standards, and equipmentAbility to thrive in fast-paced setting and consistently hit drive-thru timing targetsFollow and enforce dress code and handbook policiesMust hold Manager Food Safety Certificate and ensure all staff are certifiedMust be educated in food safety and compliant with health departmentInterview, hire, train, and develop staff to demonstrate all company standards in customer experience and operationsProvide ongoing performance feedback and development for staff members, identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear, constructive feedback to reinforce/improve performanceDirect the barista station workflow and maintain quality and speed of serviceMaintain accountability in employees using progressive discipline process, partner with District Manager, when necessaryDetermine daily and weekly staffing requirements based on business need and create work schedules accordinglyImplement a varied schedule to develop employees, meet business needs, maximize sales potential across all hours of operation, and identify when labor needs to be adjustedAbility to strategize shift coverage during bad weather, prioritizing local staffTroubleshooting skills, plus ability to contact customer service or tech support and walk them through issues.Contribute to store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales and by managing expensesCommunicate with the District Manager and Store Owner regarding operations, sales growth and customer retentionUpsell drink size, food, and drink add-insMaintain company standards and store sales/performance metrics/goalsEncourage and ensure full team participation in both setting store goals and developing action plans to accomplish goalsMaintain confident, positive demeanor during stressful circumstancesComplete monthly inventory on timeEnsure all cash handling, point of sale system, safety, and operational procedures are performed in an accurate, consistent mannerMaintain daily, weekly, and quarterly reportsCommunity engagement, marketing, and promote company campaignsServe as point of contact for team member questions, which includes being available for phone calls and handling all personnel situations as they ariseMaintain final accountability for store operationsQualifications:Passion for people and Scooter's Coffee productsKnowledge of brand recipes and techniquesEnergetic, positive, fast-paced, flexible work styleAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentAbility to teach others and communicate effectivelyAbility to anticipate and professionally respond to customer needs and complaintsMust be an organized, detail-oriented personMust have a positive and professional demeanor and the ability to convey a positive "team spirit" amongst the staffPrior leadership experience preferredStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailMust be willing to obtain the Manager Food Safety CertificateAbility to follow the dress code and handbookDisclaimer The functions and skills described here are general in nature and represent the type of work performed, but they do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job
