Senior Software Deployment and Patching Engineer, VP

Job Summary The Senior Software Deployment and Patching Engineer oversees the deployment of enterprise software and patches across the organization’s IT environment using tools such as Tanium, Configuration Manager, Flexera, and Intune. The role requires managing software installation, updates, and removals while ensuring operational resilience and security compliance. Key Responsibilities Software Deployment – Use Tanium Deploy, Flexera Admin Studio, Intune, and PowerShell scripts to install, update, and remove software packages on physical, virtual, and mobile endpoints. Patch Management – Deploy and manage patches via Tanium and Intune, ensuring system security and compliance with organizational policies. Configuration Management – Configure deployment environments, maintain system baselines, and enforce operational hygiene. Automation – Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate application and patching processes, and perform QA testing for compatibility. Monitoring – Monitor deployment processes and system performance, addressing any issues that arise. Collaboration – Coordinate with IT teams to schedule deployments, align application catalogs with corporate offerings, and support cross‑team initiatives. Documentation – Maintain detailed documentation of deployment processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. End‑User Support – Provide support for user self‑service installations and updates through Tanium’s portal. Qualifications Minimum 6+ years of experience with Tanium Deploy, Intune, PowerShell scripting, and enterprise software deployment. Proficiency in Tanium, Intune, Appv, PowerShell, MSI, and application packaging techniques. Experience with PSADT and Config Manager, and familiarity with Azure and Windows OS technologies. Strong knowledge of Windows 11, registry, Group Policy, security settings, and virtualization. Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Visa sponsorship not available for this position. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $127k–$205k depending on location, with potential performance‑based bonus and incentives.
