American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a complex diagnostic cardiac cath lab, requiring 2 years of cath lab experience and a CA RN license.

Acute care hospital setting in the Cath Lab department
Diagnostic cardiac cath lab performing procedures such as IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Requires 4 weekend shifts per contract
On-call requirement based on departmental needs with a 30-minute response time, averaging 10 call shifts within a 6-week period including one weekend
No floating required between like units
Epic EMR used for charting

Active CA RN license required (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS; NIH certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience preferred due to case complexity
IR experience is a plus
Experience with medications such as antihypertensives and IV vasopressors preferred
Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring and thrombolytics preferred
Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring preferred
Skills in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and ventilator management preferred
Experience with Lasix drips preferred
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Provide direct patient care in a complex diagnostic cardiac cath lab setting
Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; Cath Lab scrubs provided
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO must be submitted upfront at time of application; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the region
Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
