VDI Engineer

This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret). Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required. Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide Senior level expertise for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. Lead as the Subject Matter Expert on all VDI related issues/needs. Provide support for ticket escalation on major outages. Be able to work in a rapid paced environment at times. Provide strategic leadership and input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements. Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed. Interacts with Tier III support and evaluates vendor products. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures. Application of security settings and other commercial best Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff. Skills Vmware, Vdi, Horizon, linux Top Skills Details Vmware,Vdi,Horizon,linux Top Skills Details Bachelor's degree and/or 8+ years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment. Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI practices Experience with Horizons Active Top Secret/SCI is required for this position.
