Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a bustling hospital environment, where effective communication and teamwork are paramount. You'll collaborate closely with a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patient care demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing tailored treatment plans to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Engage patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and daily activities that promote physical wellness and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients on body mechanics and facilitate the use of effective home exercise programs to support their recovery at home.
• Deliver modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy while working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously, monitoring metrics such as range of motion, strength improvements, and functional milestones.
• Maintain organized and ready-to-use treatment areas and ensure that therapeutic equipment is properly prepared for sessions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
• Provide emotional support to patients, fostering a motivating atmosphere that encourages progress and rehabilitation.
• Adhere to high ethical standards and respect confidentiality while nurturing a trusting environment for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a wide and diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, geriatric-related conditions, pediatric needs, sports injuries, and more. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Current certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Tennessee.
• In-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques pertinent to physical therapy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in administering therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and effectively collaborate with patients and the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this PTA position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
