Are you a talented machinist looking to advance your career in the vibrant city of Houston, TX? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Rotor and Machine shop team, working with both manual and CNC machinery. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring precision and quality in the machining of gas turbines, steam turbines, and aero components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and promote a strong safety culture with a "safe to start" mindset.
- Align large rotors and components with precision for machining and grinding.
- Program and operate CNC lathes, VTLs, and milling machines.
- Read and interpret OEM drawings, work instructions, and digital routers.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Adjust machine controls to maintain machining accuracy and detect malfunctions.
- Select and secure appropriate tools and materials for machining tasks.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced skills in operating CNC and manual mills, lathes, and VTLs.
- Ability to operate both manual and CNC machines.
Preferences:
- Experience in gas turbine repair, including HSPT, GE10's, Fr3, Fr5, Fr6, and F7 rotors.
Shift and Location:
- 2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm, with overtime and weekends available.
- Location: 17619 Aldine Westfield Rd, Houston, TX.
