Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current Labor & Delivery experience required License: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: AHA/American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required Intermediate or Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certificate required STABLE certificate required Must-Have: 4 months of Labor Delivery experience required Preferred experience in nursery and Mother-Baby care Post-partum experience preferred NICU experience preferred Travel experience within the last 15 months required EPIC experience required Medication administration experience with glucose and magnesium required Medication administration experience with pitocin and insulin required Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. This position is located within a maternity unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to mothers and newborns. The nurse will work a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week. The nurse may be required to work during holidays, as needed. Patient care ratios include 1:1 for labor, 1:2 for post-partum, and 2:1 for NICU. Candidates should have experience with medication administration relevant to the specialty. Electronic fetal monitoring skills are essential for this role. Candidates must pass reference checks and provide documentation of required certifications.
