IOP Phlebotomist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Covington, Louisiana patient service center. The role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, managing patient data, and delivering customer service in a Monday-Friday schedule. COVID-19 vaccination is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
- Prepare specimens for testing and process billing and payments
- Provide customer service and perform administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Minimum three months phlebotomy experience or equivalent certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for overtime
