Growing together.Genoa Healthcare, part of OptumRx, is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support production AI/ML, Generative AI, and agentic solutions. This role will partner with pharmacy operations, product, clinical, compliance, data, and engineering teams to translate business challenges into secure, scalable, and measurable AI capabilities.Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, evaluate, deploy, and maintain production AI/ML solutionsBuild predictive models for forecasting, classification, recommendations, anomaly detection, and workflow optimizationDevelop Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, semantic search, and AI agentsCreate reusable pipelines for data preparation, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retrainingIntegrate AI services into pharmacy applications, APIs, data platforms, and business workflowsImplement MLOps and LLMOps practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, versioning, observability, and release managementMonitor solutions for accuracy, quality, drift, groundedness, latency, reliability, cost, and business performanceApply Responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, auditability, and human-review controlsCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define success measures, and deliver measurable outcomesContribute to reusable AI patterns, engineering standards, documentation, and technical mentoringYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, software engineering, data engineering, or a related discipline2+ years of experience developing and deploying production AI/ML solutions in enterprise or cloud environments2+ years of experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, semantic search, or related technologies2+ years of proficiency in Python and SQL2+ years of experience with cloud platforms, distributed data technologies, automated testing, source control, and CI/CD2+ years of experience with model evaluation, monitoring, MLOps, Responsible AI, security, privacy, and governancePreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceDemonstrated familiarity with Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) or similar delivery modelsProven hands-on knowledge of Azure, Databricks, or other cloud AI/ML platformsExperience with building AI agents, intelligent automation, or GenAI solutionsDemonstrated knowledge of AI evaluation, monitoring, and observabilityProven ability to integrate AI with enterprise data, APIs, and applicationsExperience in healthcare or other regulated industriesProven ability to create reusable AI/ML patterns, platforms, and acceleratorsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
