Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg setting within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, with willingness to flex into other departments as needed
• Identify patient and family education needs and deliver education using appropriate modalities
• Ensure patient safety through proper use of preventative measures including side rails, restraints, and safe equipment operation, following all applicable policies
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, patient responses, and charges throughout the assigned shift
• Accurately process and complete physician orders in a timely manner, including 24-hour order checks as applicable to the assigned shift
• Communicate critical lab values to the physician per policy, provide thorough change-of-shift reports, implement infection control and isolation procedures, and maintain emergency carts and supplies

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in PCU, Telemetry, and/or Medical-Surgical nursing
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe operation and troubleshooting of equipment used in PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas
• Proficiency in infection control practices, standard precautions, and proper isolation procedures
• Ability to flex across departments as needed within the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Critical Access Hospital environment
• Familiarity with restraint policies, documentation requirements, and 24-hour order verification processes
