Job Overview :
The LPN will provide practical nursing services to patients at (DAHC) Dunham U.S. Army Health Clinic (DAHC), Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania and its supported clinical locations at Fillmore U.S. Army Health Clinic, Letterkenny Army Depot, and Fort Indiantown Gap . The nurse will complete assigned patient-care activities, monitor patient conditions, administer prescribed medications and treatments, assist with diagnostic and specialized procedures, provide patient education, and respond appropriately to urgent or emergency situations.

Key Duties :

• Provide assigned nursing care to a variety of patient populations.
• Observe patients and accurately recognize, report, and document relevant clinical information.
• Administer prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and/or IV medications according to established policies and scope of practice.
• Perform prescribed treatments and equipment-assisted patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding their care.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and specialized procedures.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures and monitor patients before, during, and afterward.
• Recognize urgent or emergency conditions, seek assistance from an RN or physician, and initiate appropriate directed interventions.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, quality, and DHA/MTF requirements.
• Assist with orientation of peers and ancillary personnel.

Qualifications
Degree: Certificate.

Education: Graduation from a State Board of Nursing-approved LPN/LVN training program , or completion of equivalent military training that permits the candidate to sit for the state licensure examination.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Practical or Vocational Nurse .

Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license .

Schedule :

• 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday
• Typical shifts: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Meal break: 30 minutes to 1 hour, unpaid
• Federal holidays: Not required to work
• Exact shift is determined based on clinic and mission requirements.

Work Environment:
This is an outpatient Army healthcare position primarily based at DAHC at Carlisle Barracks, with associated supported locations identified by the PWS. The LPN works under day-to-day Government/healthcare -facility supervision comparable to military and civil-service healthcare personnel.

Additional Requirements:
The LPN is not required to work federally recognized holidays , and the PWS identifies no on-call or overage hours . Situational telework is only authorized for qualifying unplanned facility closures when management determines it supports mission requirements.

The position is subject to applicable DHA/MTF occupational health, credentialing, security/background investigation, facility-access, infection-control, and patient-safety requirements . DAHC personnel may also require a Child Care Background Check depending on assignment.
