Senior Electrical Engineer (Instrumentation): RA’s client is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Senior Electrical Engineer to join their R&D Team and take a leading role in growing the EE capability within their company. The ideal candidate will own all aspects of electrical design within our client’s existing products and new product development programs. This role is expected to exercise significant autonomy and initiative while keeping stakeholders informed of progress. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also interface with clients and troubleshoot product electrical problems. This role reports directly to the CTO. Responsibilities: Conceive of and specify system level control architecture for new Create schematic designs for circuit boards that are used in our optical instrumentation products. Functions on these boards vary but may include motion control (steppers and servo), laser diode control, incandescent source control, UART and CANbus communications, displays, microcontroller, and interfacing to various input devices. Maintain configuration control of all circuit Lay out circuit boards and produce fabrication Test and troubleshoot Specify cable harness designs and work with mechanical designers to create Provide guidance to Production regarding best practices for integrating Produce documentation (design records and work instructions where applicable).
