Public Safety Officer | Part-Time | Atlantic City Boardwalk HallThe Public Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring public safety and customer satisfaction for external and internal customers by making regular and routine rounds of the facility to ensure that the facility is secure and safe. Following all safety and emergency procedures, directing traffic, holding assigned posts, providing assistance and information to customers, and other duties as described below. Working conditions: The noise level in the work environments is minimal to moderate during non-event times and moderate to loud during event times. Typical hours include nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.This role pays an hourly rate of $20.09 (per CBA).Benefits as per the union agreement.This position will remain open until November 20, 2026.ResponsibilitiesGreet all patrons and provide information regarding events, shows, and facilityChallenge unauthorized personnel in restricted areasFile written reports of incidents on shiftTake appropriate, prescribed actions in the event of an emergencyFollow and enforce established safety and security proceduresFollow and enforce established code of conductMake regular and routine rounds of the facility, noting and correcting unsafe or insecure conditionsEnsure orderly operations in parking garage as assignedProvide friendly and helpful service to all customers, clients, the public and other employeesComplete and file accurate and detailed reports on activity during shiftTake further and immediate action to correct conditions as neededCollect parking fees using computerized systemsMaintain the cleanliness of the work environment. Clean equipment and store neatly in proper locationAttends department meetings as neededComplete other duties as assigned by the Sergeant/Supervisors and Public Safety ManagerQualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED required.Previous experience as a security guard and/or cashier or in a similar position is preferred.Flexibility to work required hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.Strong communication skills.Basic computer skills, including navigating a keyboard and simple data entry.Must respond well to direction and be able to follow detailed instructions.Ability to handle multiple priorities and to follow procedures and policies under pressure and in emergency situations.Must be able to complete tasks timely and effectivelyAbility to follow event calendar, resumes, and weekly schedulesMust be able to work as a team playerAbility to walk long distances and stand for extended periods of time on a regular, daily basisAbility to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions on a regular, daily basisStrengthened by our Differences.
