About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director, Assistant General Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal and compliance support in a variety of areas, including contract, litigation, and regulatory matters. This role requires a legal subject matter expert in consumer and automotive finance regulation, with a focus on minimizing risk, ensuring best practices, and supporting business growth. The Director, Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in corporate governance, risk management, and will oversee the company's Regulatory Change Management function. Applicants for the Director, Assistant General Counsel position at the company should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor, with at least 5 years' of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. The role demands a candidate who is licensed to practice law in the United States, with a strong background in legal and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be intrinsically motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be a team player capable of adapting to a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities also include managing the company's corporate insurance policy renewals, coordinating employee training on consumer protection regulations, and building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to provide legal guidance that supports business decisions.
