Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse on Telemetry provides specialized cardiac care to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on patients recovering from cardiac procedures or requiring cardiac monitoring. This role involves managing hemodynamically stable cardiac patients and supporting their recovery and ongoing care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor cardiac patients' vital signs and neurological status to ensure stability.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders while adhering to safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and lifestyle modifications.
• Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with certification requirements, including BLS and NIHSS, maintaining state and facility standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS and NIHSS required.
• Demonstrated ability to care for cardiac patients, including post-surgical and intervention recovery.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work night shift (3x12-hour nights).
