Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. As a member of the patient care team, you will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. The Operating Room has a reputation for excellent clinical care and utilizes advanced technology and minimally invasive techniques to ensure top-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective patient care and safety.
• Monitor patient vital signs and conditions before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist with a variety of surgical cases, including trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastic, neurosurgery, and robotics.
• Document all relevant patient information in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; previous charge experience preferred.
• Current RN license in Maryland or compact state required at time of submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Completion of a 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course by the 27th week.
• Completion of 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs required.
