We offer some of the highest quality meats at great prices and a better selection than any butcher shop. We are always looking for butchers that are knowledgeable, passionate, and have a knack for helping customers with their needs, whether it's a simple cooking recipe or helping them get that perfect cut of beef. If you have previous experience as a meat cutter, along with a positive attitude and desire to learn, Caraluzzi's is the place for you!Key Responsibilities:Cut, trim, grind, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products to company standards.Package, wrap, label, price, and stock fresh meat products for display and sale.Maintain attractive, well-stocked meat displays while rotating product and monitoring freshness and expiration dates.Assist customers with product selection, cooking recommendations, and special cut requests.Ensure all products meet company standards for quality, presentation, and food safety.Maintain clean, organized work areas, cutting equipment, coolers, and display cases.Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.Support department operations and work collaboratively with team members.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Previous meat cutting experience required.Strong knowledge of meat cuts, trimming techniques, and product quality standards.Excellent customer service skills and the ability to assist customers with product recommendations.Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.Must be 18 years of age.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas.Perks, Benefits & Career GrowthAt Caraluzzi's Markets, we believe in recognizing and rewarding hard work with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Depending on eligibility, our perks and benefits package include:Comprehensive healthcare; medical, dental, and vision coverageSupplemental insurance options401(k) retirement plan with matchingTuition reimbursementStudent loan assistanceVacation time offPaid sick time and paid holidaysFamily oriented promote from within cultureOpportunities for career advancement and growthNote:This document provides a general summary of the essential responsibilities and duties and is not meant to include all job duties or requirements for every position.
